POST-PALEOLITHIC ZOOMORPHIC ENGRAVINGS AND PAINTINGS ON ROCK WALL AND TREE BARK DEPICTING VISCERA
Fig. F49) Graffito on rock.
Elk with depiction of the viscera, realized on a rock wall in the open air.
Location: Kloftefoss (Norway).
This type of representation, called "Roengten style", seems improper to us, because the style is "beauty", this is why we use a typological definition that is: "Roengten type".
Fig. F50) Painting on tree bark.
Kangaroo with representation of the viscera and part of the skeleton ("Roengten type").
Current production of North Australian Aborigines.
